Balotelli Can Play Again, Rodgers Still Have Options
Liverpool – Without Daniel Sturridge is still injured and suspended Fabio Borini, Liverpool have limited options in attack. Luckily for ‘The Red‘ Mario Balotelli could return to play and ready.
Previous Balotelli charged injury since the middle of November. After starting to come back to play and play against Manchester United in mid of this month, the Italian striker was actually getting suspended play one time because of racial harassment in social media.
With Sturridge who is still struggling with injury and Balotelli to be absent, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has limited options on Rickie Lambert and Fabio Borini. Almost become a big problem for the weekend Borini get a red card, so it can not appear in the Boxing Day game counter Burnley, Friday (12/26/2014) night.
Fortunately Balotelli in a condition ready to perform, as revealed Rodgers. Although the performance of the players was 24 years and the other attackers were not okay, at least Liverpool still have other options in the game later.
“Mario can play, but no others. Joe Allen, Glen Johnson, and Jon Flanagan is still absent,” Rodgers told the club’s official website.
“The important thing is Mario can play after the ban, adding another player to our squad and other players who can play. Especially with the appearance of Fabio Borini could not,” he added.
Rodgers himself had previously outsmart inefficacy of the line of attack once the limited choices in this sector by placing Raheem Sterling as a center forward. Already last three games Sterling composition flanked by Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana lowered in a 3-4-3 formation.
In the last three games of that, the Anfield Gank assessed starting to show back last season’s level of play fast and high intensity. There is a possibility of the same formation and composition revealed against Burnley, so Balotelli and Lambert will be expected only a backup plan for Rodgers.
