Milner Reportedly Will not flee from City this January
Manchester – With a contract that will expire at the end of this season, James Milner reportedly will soon leave. However, it is not going to happen in January.
So far there has been no agreement on a new contract between Milner and the City. If until the end of the season there is no new contract signed, Milner free to join another club for free.
Sky Sports reported, City is exploring new contract talks with the 29-year-old players. They also reported, some Premier League clubs interested in him up.
Milner‘s performance this season is relatively good. He has collected three goals and seven assists in 28 appearances in all competitions this season.
Milner also fairly important presence for the City. He not only can be played as an attacking midfielder or winger. When attackers City were injured, Milner played as a false nine by Manuel Pellegrini.
Milner himself was reluctant to talk about a new contract at this time. He admitted, that so the focus now is to help City press Chelsea in the standings.
Currently, City and Chelsea are “sharing” the top. Although Chelsea are in first position, value, goal difference, and the same number of goals both teams.
“What we can do now is focus on our own performance and if you get the results we want, we live to see the results obtained Chelsea,” said Milner.
