Ospina Confident Arsenal Can Pursue City
London – The results of the match at the end of last week distanced Arsenal with Manchester City docked. Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina, was confident his team could pursue the Citizens.
Sunday (1/3), Arsenal successfully beat Everton 2-0 in the match held at the Emirates Stadium. Moments earlier, the City has just defeated 1-2 by Liverpool at Anfield.
Both result in the match close the distance City which is in the second position and Arsenal are in third position. City collected 55 points, while Arsenal 51 points. Both teams just four points.
With 11 games towards the end of the season, there are many possibilities can occur.
“We focus one game by one game. We knew that we were close to them, but we have to focus on yourself, not on them,” said Ospina as reported by the Guardian.
“We will continue to look as good as possible, collecting point by point, only then see how it goes.”
“We do not panic. We did hit after losing to Monaco (in the first leg of the Champions League knock-out phase, ed), but in football you have to get up as soon as possible,” said Ospina.
Arsenal will play against Queens Park Rangers in the middle of this week. At the first meeting this season, Arsenal successfully beat QPR 2-1.
